Be enrolled as a junior or senior in high school
at a school within
Hesperia Unified School District.
Attend an orientation and be accepted
to the program.
Minimum 10th-grade education level.

The program begins once a year: August
CA Department of Public Health guidelines are in effect.

No cost for Hesperia Unified School District students. However, after the HUSD student graduates and with no break in enrollment, the hourly fee with be $8 until
the remaining hours are completed

August 2024:
$5200
Initial payment of $2,500 due on the day
of enrollment in the form of a money order or cashiers check made out to HUSD.
No personal checks are accepted.
After initial payment, Cosmetology students will be an additional monthly payments as required EACH MONTH until paid in full.
Full $5200 must be paid in full before the last 100 hours of the program or April 1, 2025 which ever occurs first. Full tuition must be completely paid by the time the student has reached the last 100 learning hours to complete the program.
*Monthly payments may be lowered with a
larger initial payment.
* Program fees do not include preapplication or State Board Licensing fees which are an additional cost paid by the student.

Meet the Instructors
Katie McLauchlin
Instructor
She has been in the cosmetology industry for over 22 years and has been an instructor for over 13 years. Since she was a little girl Katie knew she wanted to be a Cosmetologist. Now she is living the dream as she gets to inspire others whose passion is Cosmetology.
Michelle Robinson
Instructor
She has been in the industry for over 25 years and began teaching in 2013.
On her first day of teaching, Michelle knew she wanted to retire from HUSD. She is very passionate and takes pride in contributing to the program's high pass rate.
Valerie Guillen
Instructor
Valerie is a proud 2003 graduate of our Cosmetology program where she started as a high school student. She has been in the industry for over 19 years. Valerie has a psychology degree from CSU San Bernardino, however, cosmetology is her passion.
